Heath Insurances

At Hampshire Dental Surgery, we accept all health insurances. We are also preferred providers for most major health insurances, so you get the most rebate back when you do any dental treatment.

Please check your health fund policy to determine what portion of your fee is covered. Not all private health insurance providers are the same and your level of cover will affect how much you will receive and what your out of pocket expenses are. We are also able to conveniently give you a quotation on the day so you know how much benefit you will be receiving before any treatment.

If your procedure falls under the Medicare scheme you can also claim on the day of your appointment.

Child Dental Benefits Schedule

The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) provides eligible children with financial assistance for basic dental services, capped at $1,000 over 2 consecutive calendar years. To be eligible for the CDBS, a child must:

• be aged 2 to 17 years for at least 1 day of the calendar year
• be eligible for Medicare
• receive, or be part of a family receiving, certain Australian Government payments

Services that receive a benefit under the CDBS include examinations, X-rays, cleaning, fissure sealing, fillings, root canals, extractions and partial dentures. Many of these services have claiming restrictions.

Benefits are not available for orthodontic or cosmetic dental work. Please go to this link for more information
